In 2012, Give the Dog a Bone and Fairholme Preparatory School joined forces to develop a website using the Drupal 7 framework. This partnership yielded great success and served the school well for several years.
However, as of 2022, it became evident that a website refresh was in order due to the end-of-life status of Drupal 7 and the continuous growth of Fairholme Preparatory School. Recognising the value of their previous collaboration, Fairholme once again turned to Give the Dog a Bone to embark on this important project.
Situated in North Wales, Fairholme Preparatory School stands as a distinguished independent institution, catering to students aged 3 to 11. Renowned for its commitment to academic excellence at every stage of a student’s development, Fairholme sets itself apart as a leading educational institution in the region.
Given the necessity for a website overhaul prompted by the Drupal 7 framework’s end-of-life status, Fairholme Preparatory School engaged Give the Dog a Bone to rejuvenate their online presence. Importantly, Fairholme had already acquired proficiency in using the Drupal content management system and expressed a strong desire to continue with Drupal 9.
This presented a unique opportunity for Give the Dog a Bone to modernise and elevate the Fairholme Preparatory School website. Our team ensured the website was mobile-responsive and infused it with a fresh, contemporary design. By retaining the Drupal CMS, we empowered Fairholme to make updates and adjustments to their website independently, reducing their reliance on external assistance.
Moreover, during the website rebuild process, Fairholme conveyed the need for a dedicated “Parent & Child” login section. In response, our team developed a bespoke system that enables Fairholme to securely upload crucial documents, including schedules, reading materials, and prospectuses, accessible to parents through a protected, password-secured portal.
